Digital switchover
From 2008 to 2012, television services in the UK will go completely digital. Our digital TV switchover pages explain all you need to know.
TV Licence
If you are registered blind you are eligible for a blind concession TV licence. All children and adults who are registered severely sight impaired (blind) can obtain a 50 per cent discount to their television licence.
Audio Description on Digital TV

Have you tried Audio Description on TV? AD provides an additional commentary describing action between dialogue so you don’t have to miss a thing.
Audio Description on TV is available on digital television via Sky, Virgin Media and certain Freeview devices. Find out how you can get AD, watch and listen to clips and find out what's on.
